About Druk Path Trek – Bhutan
The Druk Path Trek is one of the most popular and accessible treks in Bhutan, connecting the beautiful valleys of Paro and Thimphu. This short trek offers a blend of natural beauty, cultural highlights, and serene alpine landscapes.
Passing through ancient temples, rhododendron forests, and high mountain lakes, the route provides spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Jomolhari. Ideal for both novice and experienced trekkers, the Druk Path Trek combines scenic adventure with a taste of Bhutan’s unique culture and spirituality.

Itinerary
Begin your trek with a steep climb through blue pine and fir forests. Reach the camp near Jili Dzong, an ancient monastery offering great views of Paro Valley. Overnight in tented camp.
Trek through ridges and yak pastures. Enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks and mountain valleys. Camp in the high-altitude meadows of Jangchulakha.
Continue along high ridges, with panoramic views and alpine scenery. Arrive at Jimilangtsho Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and trout fish. Overnight beside the lake.
Trek through rugged terrain, pass several yak herder camps. Enjoy solitude and mountain vistas. Camp near Simkotra Lake, surrounded by mountains and open skies.
Cross the Labana Pass (4,210m) for spectacular views of Mount Gangkar Puensum (Bhutan’s highest peak). Descend through forests of rhododendron and juniper to Phajoding Monastery. From Phajoding, continue your descent to Thimphu. Overnight in hotel.
End of the trek. You can explore Thimphu city or transfer to Paro for departure.

In the event of trek disruption due to weather or unforeseen natural events, alternative arrangements will be made, and any refundable amount will be provided as per the company’s discretion.
