Itinerary
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station. Meet our representative and transfer to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Check-in at the hotel and relax. Evening free for leisure or a stroll at MG Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Visit Rumtek Monastery, the largest monastery in Sikkim, known for its stunning architecture and golden stupa. Explore Enchey Monastery, a 200-year-old monastery with strong spiritual significance. Visit Do Drul Chorten, a revered Buddhist stupa built by Trulshik Rinpoche in 1945. Explore the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, housing rare Buddhist manuscripts and artifacts. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
After breakfast, drive to Phodong Monastery, known for its serene ambiance and colorful murals. Visit Labrang Monastery, one of the oldest Nyingma sect monasteries. Proceed to Lachen, a picturesque village in North Sikkim. Check-in at the hotel and rest. Overnight stay in Lachen.
Early morning visit to Guru Dongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world at 17,800 ft. Return to Lachen for breakfast and then drive to Lachung, a scenic valley town. Visit Lachung Monastery, a 19th-century Buddhist monastery offering breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Lachung.
After breakfast, explore Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers. Visit Yumesamdong (Zero Point) (optional, additional cost) for a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Return to Gangtok via scenic mountain roads. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Drive to Pelling, a charming town known for its monasteries and mountain views. Visit Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in Sikkim, built in the 17th century. Check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Pelling.
